• Medical history and behavior review
• Gait analysis
• Warmup strokes
• Palpation of all areas of the body to detect any areas of stiffness, swelling, lumps, etc
• Massage strokes to the affected areas, such as trigger point work
• Passive range of motion to note range of motion & increase it
• Cool-down strokes
• An assessment of what was found as well as a treatment plan for your pet

How to prepare for your pet’s massage

• Unless pain restricts it, take your pet for exercise before the massage.
• Let your pet do his/her bathroom business before the massage.
• Wear comfortable clothes you can sit on the floor in - I may ask your help to keep your pet in a comfortable stay for the massage.
• Think about what will help your pet relax and bring have anything that may help (including treats if they can connect to calm stillness rather than amped up excitement).
